This week I got not only one, but two Stylish Blogger awards from some friends across the blogosphere! Thank you to Casey at Loft & Cottage and Elizabeth at betsy n co. Thanks, ladies!
Now I’m supposed to share 7 things about myself and then pass it on to other bloggers who I think are fabulous.
Hmmm…what to share?
- When we moved to M’ssippi, I was fortunate enough to keep my job from DC and be allowed to work from home. Overall, I like working from home, but feel like my style/fashion has suffered (yay yoga pants and slippers), and I sometimes feel like I never leave the house. But then again, I don’t have a commute, I get to stay home with the puppy, and I get to do laundry during the day. Good thing I love how our house turned out, otherwise I might go crazy!
- I’m a total introverted extrovert. I definitely get my energy from being around people, but I’m not very outgoing or put myself out there to meet new people.
- In college I had capri pants for every color of the rainbow. And more sweater sets than Jackie O. Tragic.
- My home tidiness/organization motto is: “Everything has a place, you just have to find it.” Once an item has a home, that’s where it always goes. But it’s when things don’t have a place that it get messy here. Now that we’re in a 1250 sq ft house, I’m realizing we need to get rid of a lot of stuff since there just aren’t enough places for everything!
- The way to my heart is through my stomach. I LOVE food.
- I am obsessed with our puppy, Stella. She is SO funny and I love her so much! Even though my dad calls her “bat girl” because of her huge ears. This is where I find her most days, keeping an eye on the neighborhood:
- Though my music tastes run the gambit (current favorite is Mumford & Sons), I really love mash-ups (and no, not just because of Glee). There was a DJ in DC who did mash-ups on Friday mornings, so I would dance in my seat during my commute. They’re also awesome for working out!
Now that you know a little bit more about me, I want to share this award with some other stylin’ bloggers – check out their blogs! As part of accepting the award, they’ll thank and link back to the person that awarded them (moi), share 7 things about themselves, pay it forward to 15 recently discovered bloggers (I don’t know that I can do 15, so I’ll stick with 8!), and contact those bloggers about the award!
With out further ado (some oldies but goodies and some newbies):

Well I think you are the most stylish.. coolest gal around =).. I’m not saying this just because you are my bestie but because I think you really are =). My true test for everything that I buy… approval from Leila… when I get “not my taste, but it could work”… I know what that means =).
“Well it’s cute but I don’t think I’d wear/use/buy it.” Thanks bestie
So good to get to know you! Will think of you in solidarity as I get stir crazy in my house this winter and disgusted that I’ve worn nothing but slippers and yoga pants all week!
aw, you are so sweet thank you!! I think I’ve posted things about me before, let me look and if not I’m totally posting more- this is fun!
And I think your dogs ears are so friggin cute! I would LOVE a French Bulldog more than anything because i love their ears- too bad the fiance is allergic
I can relate to #2 – I’m exactly the same way! I love how you defined it, “introverted extrovert!” Oh, and your puppy is so cute
You must be REALLY loved because L from Love This Life also awarded you this award. Which is where I discovered you, by the way. As well as discovered that I LOVE your blog! I’ve already added you to my reader
and I love your drop cloth curtain idea.
I can totally relate to #s 2, 3, and 4. Love how you worded introverted extrovert. I feel you on getting your energy from people but not wanting to put the effort out there. I do put the effort out there, and, while most would never realize it, it’s difficult for me to do. I LOOVEd capri pants and was so sad when I had to retire them for the sake of style. And I also have a bat ear dog that I love with for her scruffy fox like appearance.
She did?! I am so behind I had no idea!! Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet words.
Thank you so much for the award! I have been knocked flat on my back for the last couple of days by a nasty stomach bug, so I’m slower than usual responding to my comments, but I was so excited that you thought of me for this! It’s such an honor coming from someone with such obviously amazing taste. Your decor and your house are gorgeous (love the new exterior paint!), and your blog is so pretty! (Oh, and your puppy is just adorable!) I’m working on coming up with my 7 things and with the bloggers I want to pass this on to, so I’ll hopefully be posting soon! Thanks again!
