I use a blowdryer to soften the wax before pushing it off with a soft cloth. I've done this on a variety of candle holders, as well as table surfaces. I have a bad habit of *blowing* candles out and spattering wax everywhere. It drives my husband crazy.

MrsLimestone: maybe that would work on your candelabra?

Not lame at all! This could definitely be a helpful, new technique - I've only ever heard about freezing the wax.

Question, though - I see some wax on your beautiful buffet? Was that hard to get off - any tips for wax on furniture like that?

So funny Lulu - I also have a giant cadelabra that won't fit in my freezer. But I cnat run it under water b/c it might ruin the finish. Just will have to wait until its cold enough to put outside.

This Is a great tip! I usually put them in the freezer but of course some won't fit. I have a candleabra that's been caked in wax for months and I'm going to try this today. Thanks!
