What a funfun jumpstart to getting into the Christmas spirit: I just found out that I am one of two big winners of This Young House’s R Home contest!

Included in the win is a year’s subscription to R Home magazine, as well as a ticket to R Home for the Holidays next Monday, November 17th, at the Virginia Historical Society in Richmond, VA. There will be general holiday merriment, talks by stylist Matthew Mead and Bon Appetit editor Barbara Fairchild, and I’ll even get to meet John and Sherry of This Young House (who also write a column for R Home!)! Woot!

You’re welcome, Leila! We can’t wait for the event and to meet you too. I’m just like you (I never win things), although Sherry’s good luck streak is starting to rub off on me. But imagine how fun it was for us to give something away…especially with such a grateful winner!
